How do I use the printer in the co-working space?

To connect to the co-working space printer, read the following instructions.

Getting Set Up to Print

Make sure you are on the "Brick Avenue Lofts" Wi-Fi and then open your web browser.  Then follow these instructions:

  1. If you are not connected to the wifi yet, connect to the Brick Avenue Lofts network using "Brick2019!" as the password.
  2. Go to www.support.xerox.com and in the search bar labeled "Search All Support - From Devices to Printers" type "7855 drivers" and click the search button. Click the link "Workcentre 7830/7835/7845/7855 Drivers & Downloads."
    1. On the next page you'll be prompted to select an associated product from a list. Click the dropdown and select "built-in controller."
    2. This will populate the driver's list. Double check that your operating system is correct and follow the correct instructions for your device.

    Windows

    1. Click the link labeled "Web-Based Print Driver Installer." On the next page scroll down and select the blue accept button. This will download the driver installer. When it's done it will ask you to run or save the file. Run it if you get the option, otherwise save it then run it from there.
    2. Once you run the program you'll have to accept an end user license agreement and then the software will install the required drivers.
    3. After this it will use an automatic search tool to find the printer. Once it shows up, click it and click continue.
    4. It will ask what driver you want to install now. It will already have the "postscript" option checked. Leave it checked and click next. This will run through the final steps - now you're able to print

    Mac

    1. Click on the link labeled "macOS Common Print Driver Installer." On the next page, scroll down and select the blue accept button. This will download the driver installer. This can be a large file so it may take a few minutes to download. Once it is done, go to your downloads and run the file. It should be named "XeroxPrintDriver_5.1.0_2110.dmg."
    2. Once you run the program, you'll have to accept an end user license agreement and input your password. Then the software will install the required drivers.
    3. After this is complete, it will use an automatic search tool to find the printer. Once the printer shows up, click it and click continue.
    4. It will ask what driver you want to install. It will already have the "postscript" option checked. Click next. This will run through the final steps. Now you can print.
    5. When it asks you if you want to send the installer to the trash, click yes.

    iPhone

iPhones already have airprint enabled, so you will be able to print as long as you are on the Brick Avenue Lofts Wi-Fi.

    Android

If you're on a Samsung or Android device, you can open the google play store and download the "Xerox Print Service Plugin." Once it is installed and you are on the Brick Avenue Lofts Wi-Fi, you can select the printer.
